Create From a Clean Heart

Sunday, November 22, 2009 6:36 | Filled in Sound Creation

2010 draws nearer and the New Year holds so many possibilities—what will we all create? Reflecting on my own dreams and those of my friends and co-creators, I asked myself what was most essential to help our visions manifest? My attention was drawn to my heart and I could feel it was time for a more specific cleaning of memories that can create a “heavy” heart. This is the time to neutralize any disappointments, “failures,” and feelings of defeat or despair that may still be restricting our soul’s dreams and visions.

What is still there in my heart, in your heart, that causes us to recreate stories we no longer chose to live?

This is the time of year for reflection; it is easier now to see what may have been hidden from view. For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere there is less external light. It can be a time when our internal light can burn brighter when we take the time to go inward, and witness the thoughts, feelings and physical sensations that arise, setting aside attachment and judgment.

Winter Solstice will be here soon; a time when many of us traditionally write down what we want to release from our lives and what we want to create; we ritually burn what we have written so that we can begin again fresh. Now we have an opportunity to release what is, perhaps, a more hidden layer of things forgotten, but not gone. Our heart’s true visions are too large for these small but often potent past stories.

During our Solstice ritual, we will feed these old patterns to the fire, allowing them to become a blazing light. As the flames transmute the words on our papers, the fire, our inspired sounds and intention will be the alchemical force that transmutes these memories and cleans our hearts.

As enough of us become free of the old patterns and imprints in our hearts– we free our collective World Heart. This is part of the planetary work many of us are here to do. Our dreams and Gaia’s dreams are intertwined.

“I dreamt — marvellous error! — that I had a beehive here inside my heart. And the golden bees were making white combs and sweet honey from my old failures.” Antonio Machado

Winter Solstice this year is on Monday December 21st at 12:47 PM EST. We will celebrate our ritual on Sunday December 20th at 4:30 PST. You are invited to join us in person or energetically. You may find it helpful to write your list between now and then, as part of your preparation. Together we will burn all that is ready to be transmuted and then connect with the dynamic, passionate aspect of our hearts, as we sound our visions into creation. We release the need to know “how” and open to Inspiration and the synchronicity of Spirit.

This quote and graphic are from a great post by Amara Rose, which you may also enjoy reading. I include it here because I found the reference to “intentional attunement” and the Earth as a “cosmic egg” particularly relevant. Thanks to Amara and Barbara Hand Clow!

Clow writes, “I believe the tilting axis inspired a preliterate scientific revolution that we are decoding in our times. The axial tilt changed the way we receive light on Earth…Megalithic astronomy, as well as indigenous astronomy, suggests that the Light is more potent and transmutative for humans during the equinoxes, solstices, and new and full moons. Perhaps that intentional attunement awakens cosmic intelligence. Perhaps a new evolutionary form began when the tilting axis cracked Earth open, as if Earth were a cosmic egg ready to hatch in the universe.”

May your clean heart expand with all the unmanifest dreams of your soul and may you give birth to them with ease, joy and gratitude!

We are one! Spirituality might be the solution to the world crisis we're facing..Cosmic intelligence has been there always! I wish we'll act soon to save our blue planet and humanity! Tks for spreading your light.

Yes, I agree, Marcome. One image I love to hold is of people waking up all over the world, like popcorn popping; when I see how many of us connect daily on social networks from so many countries, it gives credence to my belief that we are truly evolving and waking up. I appreciate all you contribute through your inspiring words and songs!

Ah, Kathleen my friend. What a beautiful blog. I am reminded something I 'chanced' upon recently penned, I believe, by Lauren Gorgo. "Those of you with the roles of divine communication, vocal and otherwise, will begin to attract the platforms, mediums and support for your most needed ventures." You go, girlfriend!

Mutual support of friends is beyond price, Sunny; may 2010 be the year in which our wildest dreams are surpassed!

I think many of us have or had a similar expectation about "Spiritual Teachers", Nancy. Great example of letting go of emotion that hurts the one who holds it. I read this today by Don Miguel Ruiz, " Forgiveness is for your own healing. You forgive because you feel compassion for yourself. Forgiveness is an act of self-love." Letting go of justified anger, blame and so forth is one of bigger challenges and one needs sufficient self-love to be able to do it, which is a good thing to remember when tempted to hold on to those feelings!
I love questions and often use them to help surface something that I haven't been able to access. I really appreciated the questions you wrote in your last blog– must remember the power of questions for future posts!
My favorite morning practice is to ask a question, empty my mind and listen for the answer.
I can spend entire mornings doing this. We all have access to an Infinite Mind that is exceedingly generous and unlimited in answers!
Your blog posts were the first I read before I had this page and started writing my own, and you continue to be a source of inspiration!
    With Love and Gratitude,
    Kathleen

I see we share a similar background, Jeanne. In High School we had periodic retreats, enforced times of reflection, which I appreciate much more now in retrospect! I am also grateful for being taught to reflect at an early age.
I'm so happy you are realizing your intentions in both more direct service to others and in your most recent contribution to leaders. Teaching empathic ethics is so necessary and important for all types of leadership. Hope you will blog about both your teaching and your experiences.
So glad you will join us in celebrating Solstice this year!

    Kathleen,

Thanks for this very useful guidance to use the powerful Solstice gateway for healing and growth. We have forgotten the deeper meaning of the changing seasons and Nature's rhythms, and as I learned on my own journey, re-membering (making membership again) is the key to healing/wholeness, for individuals as well as the collective. Blessings for being a clear light.

    Amara

I am delighted to have met you in time to take part (at a distance this time…) in your Winter Solstice celebration, Kathleen.__So many new ideas are being shownto me that letting go of "old stuff" and opening up to the new seems particularly relevant at this time.

The point of maximum movement in the Southern Hemisphere, and the still point of maximum potential in the Northern Hemisphere. Evokes feelings of wonderment and awe if we are attuned.

What can I add besides wishing you and all Solstice Greetings.

    Hi Sandy,
Thank you for expressing so powerfully what simultaneously happens at Solstice. We will connect energetically with friends and cocreators in Brazil and New Zealand, who celebrate the point of maximum movement as we celebrate the still point of maximum potential. We can feel the power of our joint celebrations, and your words clarify and add to our experience. Appreciate your taking the time to share this!
    Abundant Solstice Blessings! Kathleen

The power of sun…The life is becoming true! We watch the grow of Nature's energy while the photons and radioactivity is passing through our bones and internal fluids. In South the spiral is reverse…the water spins different…so as the circle of stones. Ancient knowledge that our brains don't catch. The time was suspended. The velocity is speeding, sucking us to outside. A vortice of centripetal force. We are being turned inside out, for as much as we cannot contain our energy inside us anymore. We are experiencing a change in Earth magnetism, as if both polarities of existence, as we know it, could exist in the same place in space. Maybe we are all experiencing the trail of the truth. The light that, even in shadows, can shine as no one other! The light of the intention. As more pure it is, lighter will be. And with less weight, it can pass not only through muscles, bones and fluids. But can travel straight to the inner spark of our soul.

Io! Tupã! Io Oxalá! Io! Baco! Tinku or Ragnarök?

Blessings by the warmness of the sun, wishes for the attraction power of the moon…

    A surprising Solstice to all!!!

    Mau…
